I'm so excited to share the news about my new intern!

One month ago tomorrow, I had the opportunity to sit down in my home with a young woman and her mother to talk about becoming a photographer. Her mother had arranged for us to meet for a school project of Sarah's. She needed to job shadow someone in the felid she was interested in.

Sarah is interested in architectural photography. Although I am not an Arch Photog we (Arie and I) still know a thing or two about the basics. We've enjoyed watching Sarah crack out of her seed and bloom through photography and hope to watch her grow an entire garden!

I was so excited to hear that this young woman at the age of 15 already knew what it was she loved doing. I sat there in my living room with two excited people that evening. Learning about who Sarah is, and how much her mother Lydia wants to support her! Little did I know at the time, how much the stars had aligned us to come together.

Detail after detail that we shared about ourselves- the more we realized how similar parts of our stories are. I have never felt so sure of something in my life- that Sarah and I were meant to cross paths.

With in our similarities we have our differences too. Sarah is already so much wiser than I was at her age. She's so much kinder- and forgiving. There's that light inside of her still that has yet to be dimmed by any struggles in her path. She shows true passion, and true life inside her. I've been told she is shy from the moment I've met her- But the moment I met her she walked right up to me and shook my hand to introduce herself.

If that isn't the epitome for what her life holds I don't know what is!

She is told she is one thing that controls her- but she overcomes it with grace and dignity.

I am so proud to be teaching- and learning from this amazing young woman!

Stay tuned to more fun by my new (and first ever!) Intern, Sarah!! <3
