How To Love Yourself

There is no one recipe to loving yourself. Every one of us has different worries, insecurities, and issues. Being able to sit back, and take a look within yourself is a good start.

For myself it started with forgiveness. I had to forgive myself of my own wrong doings. I had to look at mistakes I’ve made and get real uncomfortable confronting them. I had to learn to humble myself and reflect. I knew the person I thought I was, or wanted to be. I hadn’t always acted like her, so I needed to let go of that and move on.

Giving yourself a nice do-over may be just the trick. Knowing who you really are, how amazing you can be, may be what sets you free. Moving on, letting go, forgiving yourself and others. Letting go of pain, anger, and resentment. Focusing on your happiness RIGHT NOW. In this moment and moments forward, it’s about light and positivity. Here are some ways you could start loving yourself today!

  • Thank yourself daily.

  • Do something for someone else.

  • Start a weekly gratitude list.

  • Give yourself 15 minutes of quiet time (Silent your cell phone.)

  • Unfollow anything or anyone that is negative.

  • Clear toxic relationships from your life.

  • Bubble Baths.

  • Drink Water.

  • Exercise.

  • Look up Corgis on Instagram, get lost for hours in their grins.

  • Cuddle with your animal or stuffed animal.

  • Give an animal a bath or brushing.

  • Visit your mom.

  • Go for a drive.

  • Take a day off of work and do nothing.

  • Take a day off of work and get everything done.

  • Organize your closet.

  • Clean something.

  • Take care of your body (long shower, condition hair, facial masks, clean nails.)

  • Eat more greens (Good for your skin.)

  • Talk to a close friend about something thats bothering you.

  • Dress up (dressing for the job you want not the job you have.)

  • Ask someone else how they are REALLY doing and listen attentively when they tell you.

  • Loving other people helps you love yourself.

  • Listen to catchy music.

  • Get fresh air!

  • Get a plant and watch it grow.

  • Read a Book (I recommend Radical Self love By Gala)

Start now, don’t wait until your paid, or after a special occasion, ect. Start right now.

Get rid of stuff, Goodwill it. Clear up some space! (Helps letting go emotions too.)

Look in the mirror, now tell yourself, you can______, you will____, and you are___.
