When you hear 'Valentines day" Do you cringe and hide? Or does excitement rush over you?

I'm here to tell you regardless of your relationship status it should always be a rush of excitement! Valentines Day has been marketed for decades as a day where, men buy woman lavish gifts to celebrate their love. While this may be nice and fun for those who are coupled, they might be missing a key point.

Here's a little back story for starters.

This Valentine guy sounds like a pretty well rounded man. Even back in the day people fought and sought out to help love win! I wonder what the world would be like if we all had as much fight in us for love. I am a fierce believer that when you love not only yourself right, but others too that you have the power to move mountains. This guy did and now there's a whole day dedicated to it.

I want to help spread love life wildfire. It's now 2018 and there is still not enough of it going around. To many people don't love themselves enough to make their dreams reality. To many of us don't love ourselves enough to lead happy and fulfilling lives. Loving yourself is not selfish. In fact it's the key starter that can help you love others better.

Valentine had enough love and confidence in himself, that he knew he could accomplish empowering love in others as well. Do you think if he disliked himself he would've cared to much about helping those soldiers out? That applies to every success story. You have to love yourself before you can love anyone else. You can try, but it's never going to be as successful as what truly loving yourself, could be.

We all deserve a chance at love and the freedom it will bring. Love is not just for the couples anymore. Love is for us all individually. Love is for your favrotie ice cream, or your pets. Love is for your parents, and those who have helped you along the way. Love is for those who are suffering, and those who are rejoicing. Love is for the rich and the poor, the sick and the healthy.

We all benefit from what love can bring us.

Love is so many things, but it is not something you can find for yourself in another person. You have to find your love inside of you, then you can apply that love onto others. Let Valentines Day be a day of spreading love. It's not just for those who are in love.

Here are a few starter idea's

- Volunteer at your local Animal Shelter! (Homeless animals NEED all the love they deserve!)

- Send notes to everyone who you love, or has made you feel loved at some point

- Love yourself (I have a whole post on ways you can do that Here)

- Think of someone who has impacted you for the better. Overflow them with love on this day! (Maybe even more then just this day)

- Make your parents breakfast in bed (Or something hand written)

- Make your friends aware of why they matter to you

- Pair up with a single pal and live it up! Reflect on ways love helps us all, together.

- Send a nice note to someone hurting. Encourage the angry ones with love and watch them change.

- write about what love means to you, maybe even send it to someone or post it on social media!
